A Republican mayor with ties to former President Donald Trump is looking to unseat New Jersey’s senior U.S. Senator, Democrat Bob Menendez.

Mendham Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner on Monday announced her campaign for the Republican nomination to face off against Menendez in the 2024 election.

“Today, I am announcing my decision to run for the U.S. Senate because New Jersey deserves better than this dark cloud of corruption that has been following Bob Menendez for a decade,” Serrano Glassner said in a statement announcing her campaign.
